Biography

Kale is currently 19 years old and is busy attending college to become an Elementary Education teacher and is working as an Enrichment teacher at a local Preschool.  He is a typical teenager hanging out with friends, but in his free time he loves to write and illustrate children’s books.  He has written and illustrated three children’s books.  In the Fall of 2020, when he was a Sophomore in High School, he released his first book, Danny the Duck Heads South, and in the Spring of 2022, when he was a Junior in High School, he released his second book, Danny and Kevin Conquer Camping. Throughout his school years, he has seen kids being excluded for being different or having a disability, so he wanted Danny and Kevin Conquer Camping to raise awareness for Limb Loss and Limb Difference. Kale's latest book, Stewart H. Quills and His Explosive Emotions was released in the Fall of 2023.  Kale is on a mission to inspire children to thrive, regardless of their challenges. A portion of every book sale is donated to The Aktion Club, a local organization for people with disabilities.

Kale's current project that he is working on, "Born to Stand Out," aims to bring awareness to the deaf and hearing loss community through the story of Evelyn, a young elephant who learns to embrace her uniqueness. His dedication to this cause is influenced by personal experiences, such as his mother's struggle with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which affects her hearing. He believes that by including these narratives in children's books and media, it can foster greater inclusivity and understanding from a young age. Kale has teamed up with Allie Gray, Miss Ohio's Teen 2024 and together, they have founded Silent Opportunities, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and support for the hearing loss and deaf community. Their mission is to raise funds for the Ohio School for the Deaf, to award a scholarship to a local high school graduate impacted by hearing loss or disability and to donate sign language materials to local schools.
