Biography
Kale Sudhoff is currently 20 years old and is busy attending college to become an Elementary Education teacher and is working as an Enrichment teacher at a local Preschool. When Kale is not busy with school and work, he loves to write and illustrate children’s books. It wasn’t always this way for Kale, being born with a stutter, reading was always a big insecurity for him and something he tried to avoid as much as possible growing up. It wasn’t until he turned fifteen that God put the idea to start writing in Kale’s heart, and since then Kale has seen his life completely changed in so many ways. Kale has seen God show His goodness, love, and power in more ways than he could imagine, and he wants to show that same love to those who experience extreme challenges in life. What Kale has learned the most through all of his experiences is that God can take your greatest struggles and insecurities and turn them into your greatest triumphs if you are only willing to follow Him.
Kale has written and illustrated three children’s books. In the Fall of 2020, when he was a Sophomore in High School, he released his first book, Danny the Duck Heads South, and in the Spring of 2022, when he was a Junior in High School, he released his second book, Danny and Kevin Conquer Camping. Throughout his school years, he has seen kids being excluded for being different or having a disability, so he wanted Danny and Kevin Conquer Camping to raise awareness for Limb Loss and Limb Difference. Kale's latest book, Stewart H. Quills and His Explosive Emotions, was released in the Fall of 2023. Kale is on a mission to inspire children to thrive, regardless of their challenges.
Kale recently teamed up with Pastor Craig Flack and is excited for the release of their new book, When God Says Roll. It is not the typical Resurrection story but is one told from the viewpoint of the stone that was rolled away from Jesus’ tomb. By hearing the story through the stone’s eyes, children get a whole different perspective on the events that happened that day. Kale and Craig feel passionate about sharing the Resurrection story and the Christian values of Jesus Christ through books so they can reach children and make an impact in this world.

This past year Kale co-founded Silent Opportunities, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and support for the hearing loss and deaf community. Their mission is to raise funds for the Ohio School for the Deaf, to award scholarships to local high school graduates impacted by hearing loss or disabilities, and to donate sign language materials to local schools, which they were able to accomplish. Kale is excited to see what God has planned for his future.
